What can I buy a Care Plan for?
Care Plans are available on most electronics and appliances. They are not available for items bought from other individuals, including on classified sites like Craiglist. We also can not sell SquareTrade Care Plans to individuals based in Maine due to their regulatory requirements.

How long do I have to buy a SquareTrade Care Plan?
For eBay purchases: You have 30 days from the eBay item end-time to purchase a SquareTrade Care Plan.

For new items: You have 3 months from your purchase date to buy a SquareTrade Care Plan with or without ADH protection.

For refurbished or used items: You have 90 days from your purchase date to buy a SquareTrade Care Plan.

If you're not sure if you'll keep the item, we have a 100% refund policy in the first 60 days (and it's prorated after that), with no re-stocking fees like some retailer warranties. If you return the item, just call us or log-in to My Warranties and cancel your Care Plan for a full refund!

How does your Low Price Guarantee work?
If you find a comparable 3-year warranty for a new item that is cheaper than ours, we will gladly refund you 110% of the difference. Comparable warranties must meet the following criteria:

1. Have no deductible for service,
2. Valid for 3 years from date of purchase or equivalent time period,
3. Underwritten by an insurance carrier rated A- or better by AM Best,
4. Found within 30 days of your SquareTrade purchase.
5. Warranty applies to and can be purchased on the item to be warrantied.

To claim on this guarantee, just call or email us and let us know which warranty you've found a better price for. You'll be required to verify the price, either through showing us the website you found it on, or else by faxing/emailing in the warranty price.
