Coverage for your protection plan begins on the date of purchase and ends when your term length expires, or when the plan's benefits have been fulfilled, whichever comes first. Some benefits start on day one, while other benefits begin once the manufacturer's warranty ends. See the product category details for more information.
Furniture, mattress, and area rug claims must be filed within 30 days of stain or damage occurrence.
No. You do not need to register your plan for it to be active. However, uploading your order information now could save you time down the road if you ever forget your plan details or need help logging into your account.
Here are some key coverage details. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more details.
Furniture, Area Rugs, Outdoor Structures, and Recreation plans cover:
- Accidental stains, including from pets (from day one)
- Other accidents like rips, chips, tears, dents, and burns (from day one)
- Product failures from normal use, including seam separation, broken hardware, cracked or peeling veneers, broken hardware (covered by Allstate after the manufacturer's warranty expires)
Furniture, Area Rugs, Outdoor Structures, and Recreation plans do not cover:
- Damage caused by shipping or delivery, natural disasters, or other weather-related events
- Damage caused by accumulation, neglect, or abuse
- Intentional damage, loss, or theft
- Pet damage due to bites, and scratches
- Commercial use, unless purchased on Wayfair Professional
Mattress plans cover:
- Single-incident accidental stains (mattress protector must be in use for coverage to apply)
- The inclusion of a free ultra-soft and breathable mattress protector, which will be shipped to you post purchase
- Defects in material and manufacturing of the mattress protector
Mattress plans do not cover:
- Structural breakdowns or defects of the mattress
- Accumulation of stains from repeated use (single incident stains are covered)
- Stains caused by perspiration, hair or body oils
- Punctures or burns
- Intentional damage, loss, or theft
- Commercial use, unless purchased on Wayfair Professional
Appliances, Electrics, Grills, Fireplaces, Hot Tubs, Saunas, and Lighting plans cover:
- Structural, mechanical, and electrical breakdowns (after the manufacturer's warranty expires)
- Product failures from normal use (after the manufacturer's warranty expires)
- No Lemon Guarantee (after the manufacturer's warranty expires)
- Power Surge Protection when connected to a surge protector (from day one)
- Premium Tech Support (from day one)
- Food Spoilage Protection (up to $300) for refrigerators (from day one)
- Missed Laundry Credit (up to $50) if your washer/dryer can't be fixed within 14 days (from day one)
Appliances, Electrics, Grills, Fireplaces, Hot Tubs, Saunas, and Lighting plans do not cover:
- Damage caused by shipping or delivery
- Damage caused by natural disasters or other weather-related events
- Accidental damage
- Cosmetic damage
- Intentional damage, loss, and theft
- Commercial use, unless purchased on Wayfair Professional
Most items come with a manufacturer's warranty that lasts 90 days to one year from the date of purchase. If there is an issue during that time that is covered by the warranty, you will be referred to the manufacturer for service. If there is an issue that is not covered by the manufacturer during the warranty period but is included in your Allstate Protection Plan, the plan will cover it. If we are unable to determine the details of the manufacturer's warranty, you may be referred back to Wayfair for additional support.
Yes. You can purchase a protection plan up to 90 days after purchasing an eligible product. To add a protection plan after your original item purchase, go to My Account and select "Add a Protection Plan."
Please note that issues that began before you purchased your protection plan are not covered.
No Lemon Policy: If your product has two service repairs completed and a third repair is needed for the same problem within any 12-month period, we'll replace it with a comparable product or reimburse you (up to the original purchase price, exclusive of taxes and fees).
Power Surge Protection: Your product is protected from operational failure resulting from a power surge while properly connected to a surge protector. You may be asked to provide your surge protector for examination.
Food Spoilage: This benefit is applicable to refrigerators and the freezer component of refrigerators; not applicable to standalone freezers, mini refrigerators, wine refrigerators, beverage refrigerators. You'll be required to document food loss when you file a claim.
Missed Laundry: If your washer or dryer can't be repaired within 14 days of initial on-site service visit, Allstate will reimburse you up to $50 for laundry services.
No. There are no deductibles or hidden fees in protection plans for items purchased at Wayfair.
The fastest way is to file a claim online at allstateprotectionplans.com/claim, or click the "start claim" button above. You'll need to create an online account, or log into your existing account. We'll then ask you to provide information about the issue. When creating your account, be sure to use the same email address that you used to purchase your plan.

When you file a covered claim, we'll use our expertise to identify the best resolution. This may include: repair, replacement, stain removal kit, or reimbursement up to the price you paid for the item (exclusive of taxes and fees). Limitations and exclusions apply. You can cancel your plan through My Account. For cancellations within 30 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund. After 30 days, you will receive a prorated refund.
